Philanthropy: A Message From Richard Zizian

I would like to personally thank you for visiting our website. We have never had the opportunity to meet, but I can tell simply by the fact that you are here doing your research, that you are a person who gives of themselves, volunteers where and when help is needed, and one who unselfishly dedicates countless hours of your time to helping others. Thank you. You are greatly appreciated.

Over the past 25 years I have also had the opportunity to be in the trenches of volunteerism and philanthropy. Chaperoning the bus trips, the endless fundraisers, the snack bars, waiting for parents to pick up their children, practices, game days, uniform repairs, more fundraisers, Christmas Tree Sales, candy drives, car washes and more. I know how hard you work while many stand by and expect you to do it for them. FIRST AND FOREMOST, VOLUNTEERISM AND PHLANTHROPY COMES FROM THE HEART. It is something that comes so naturally to people like you.

Inkbank is a company built with the same heart. From the first day my wife and our friends conceived of the Inkbank Program, our mission was to see that the hard working parents, volunteers and students who were out collecting cartridges receive the absolute maximum we could afford to pay. In fact we have given away so much of the recycling money that for many years could not afford to advertise. Our success came from word of mouth.

There is no secret math when you work with Inkbank. When we sell the cartridges you send us, we give you 50% of the recycling value we receive from the remanufacturers. Our shipping cost is in the range of 15%, and our administrative and processing overhead is approximately 25%. That does not leave a great deal for the profit column, but that's OK, because as a fundraising company, you and your fundraising program are supposed to receive the vast majority of the revenue. This has always been our goal from the beginning.

Unfortunately there are companies in our business that do not have the same degree of "heart" as Inkbank. Some companies only pay what is necessary and minimize the fundraising payout. We do not agree. Since the day we opened, we have consistently paid our customers the highest recycling values. It seems these days that our open valuation policy is forcing others to increase what they are paying to their fundraising customers. That in it self is a good thing, because the hardworking fundraisers win, even if they are not our customers. All we ask is that you remember that Inkbank has consistently set the standard by being at the forefront of maximizing it customer's fundraising programs for the past five years. We hope we have the opportunity to earn your business in the future.
